Rebecca Grappo (M.Ed, C.E.P)
is an educator. Her experience
spans 20 years, both in the
classroom and as an
educational consultant.  As
Education and Youth Officer for
the U.S. Department of State for
four years, Rebecca Grappo
was an advocate and guide for
Foreign Service families in
making informed educational
choices for their children as they
moved around the world.  She
has worked with families on the

She also worked within the Department of State as an advocate for Foreign Service youth on policy, allowance, and
evacuation issues, and served as a liaison to the board of
directors for the Foreign Service Youth Foundation.

Prior to joining the Department of State, she taught in both
American international schools overseas and northern Virginia
public schools. She is considered an expert in the field of
international relocations with children and has also done
numerous presentations for local and national conferences on
these topics. Rebecca raised her own three children between
the United States and various overseas assignments, and
fully understands the complexity of the challenges facing
internationally mobile families.

In additional to having a Masters degree in Education, she is a
Certified Educational Planner and a professional member of
the International Educational Consultants Association (IECA).
