Students who learn differently often need more support
and intervention than their current school setting can
offer. There is a huge range in the types of support
services and programs that boarding schools can offer
a student with learning differences and/or ADD.
The first step in making the right placement is to obtain a
comprehensive picture of the student’s learning style, strengths
and weaknesses.  A good psycho-educational assessment,
combined with interviews with student, family, and school
personnel, assist in finding the right level of services a student
needs and the type of environment in which they have the best
chance for success.

The most important factor is finding the right match for the
student so that he/she has the best possible chance for
personal and academic success. Many students who have
struggled in other schools find renewed confidence and self-
esteem once they are in a school that understands the way they
learn.

The goal is to find the setting where the child will be happy,
thrive, and make academic progress. They start to dream about
their futures again. The right school can change the life of a child.
Once a list of schools has been created, we will contact the
admissions offices in each of the schools to discuss the
student’s application. We can assist the family in gathering the
documents, reports, and records needed for the application, and
can help the student to think through their own personal
statements when required.

After a placement is made, we remain in touch with the school to
monitor the child’s progress and am available for any other
needs that may arise. Of course, throughout the entire process,
open and frequent communication with the family is essential.

Success Stories / Testimonials
Some students are able
to thrive in a traditional
boarding school with a
good academic support
center, while others
may need a more
comprehensive and
specialized program.
The good news is that
there is a school for
every kind of student.

in this direction!"
