Rebecca GrappoFounder, Rebecca Grappo (M.Ed, C.E.P.), has been an educator for over 20 years, having taught in the classroom, both in the U.S. and internationally, prior to becoming an educational consultant and  Certified Educational Planner.  She also served as Education and Youth Officer for the U.S. Department of State from 2002 to 2006. There her role was to be the advocate and guide for Foreign Service families as they navigated their way through various assignments around the world. 

A world-renowned expert in the field of international education and global mobility, Rebecca has also raised her own three children between the U.S. and overseas.  Married to a career diplomat in the American diplomatic service, she herself has lived the complexities faced when relocating a family to a new country and a new culture, and has also endured two separated assignments.

Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in International Studies and a B.A. in German from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She earned her teacher's certification and Masters of Education (M.Ed) from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, and her Certificate in College Counseling from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension.  In addition to her native United States, she has lived in Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Portugal, Jordan, Oman (twice) and the United Arab Emirates.  She speaks Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German.

She is a professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association; the National Association of College Admissions Counselors; and the Overseas Association of College Admissions Counselors.  She has served on the boards of the American Association of the Foreign Service Worldwide and the Foreign Service Youth Foundation.
